An Sinh Ward was established under Resolution No. 1679/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated June 16, 2025, issued by the 15th Standing Committee of the National Assembly regarding the reorganization of commune-level administrative units in Quảng Ninh Province. The ward was formed by merging the entire natural area and population of Bình Dương Ward, An Sinh Commune, Việt Dân Commune, and a portion of Duc Chinh Ward.

Dong Trieu Ward was established under Resolution No. 1679/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated June 16, 2025, issued by the 15th Standing Committee of the National Assembly regarding the reorganization of commune-level administrative units in Quang Ninh Province. The ward was formed from the entirety of Thuy An, Hung Dao, Hong Phong wards and Nguyen Hue commune, and the remaining part of Duc Chinh Ward.
