Domestic travel in Quang Ninh province will have been kick-started again since 0am on March 2 as Quang Ninh has become a safe place after 20 days without new case of Covid-19. However, the province will have yet to open doors to visitors from other localities due to the complicated situation of Covid-19 pandemic.

Quang Ninh authorities require tourism businesses and tourist sites to have good preparation for welcoming visitors back to these sites in line with safety regulations issued by the province and the Ministry of Health.
Particularly, Ha Long city is responsible for taking tough control over every tourism activity within the heritage site of Ha Long Bay. All destinations, especially spiritual ones, must control the number of tourists to avoid mass gatherings.
The province will continue to implement appropriate methods to control peolple from Covid-19 affected areas throughout the country, especially in adjacent ones, in order to maintain the saftety across the province, contributing to the success of national epidemic prevention and control target.
Ha Long Bay
In addition, Van Don International Airport is going to officially resume operation on March 3, 2021, after the expiration of temporary closure in order to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic. The airport will continue to offer daily flights on the Van Don-Ho Chi Minh City route and act as one of the designated airports for repatriation flights of Vietnamese citizens and foreign experts from abroad in the North of Vietnam. As planned, stricter regulations are going to be imposed amidst complex developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
