
Performances showcase rich traditional cultural identity.
Yen Giang Communal House is located on the banks of the historic Bach Dang River. Built in the 16th century, the structure has undergone several restoration phase. A comprehensive renovation was completed in 2013, while its original architectural features have been well preserved. The site was designated a national historical relic in 1996.

The Festival is a traditional folk event reflecting strong local cultural identity, providing an opportunity for local residents to pay tribute to Grand Commander Tran Quoc Tuan and the village’s founding ancestors for bestowing blessings of bumper harvests, prosperity, and and social well-being, while praying for peace and good fortune in the new year.
The continued organization of the festival helps uphold the local traditions, and strengthen community solidarity, and educate younger generations about cultural and historical pride. It also promotes responsibility in preserving and effectively promoting the values of the World Cultural Heritage site of Yên Tử – Vĩnh Nghiêm – Côn Sơn, Kiếp Bạc Complex of Monuments and Landscapes, while gradually shaping the festival into a distinctive cultural and spiritual tourism product bearing strong local identity.

The festival takes place from January 11 to 14, featuring traditional rituals, cultural and artistic activities and traditional folk games.
