Production of the 5-star OCOP Binh Lieu arrowroot vermicelli at Binh Lieu Trading and Services JSC
According to production plans for the upcoming Lunar New Year, Binh Lieu Trading and Services Joint Stock Company, based in Huc Dong Commune, expects to supply nearly 100 tonnes of finished arrowroot vermicelli of various types, aiming at meeting rising consumer demand for both daily use as well as for gifts during the Tet holiday season, from within the province and beyond.
Nguyen Xuan Tung, Deputy Director of the company, said that to meet the demand in Tet season, the company has mobilized maximum resources since the fourth quarter of 2025, synchrously operated its machinery system and maintained continuous three-shift production each day. As a result, large orders, including those from distant markets such as Ho Chi Minh City, southern provinces and several partners in China, have been delivered on schedule.

Beyond Binh Lieu vermicelli, many other OCOP products from Quang Ninh are also ready for the Lunar New Year market. Notably, golden camellia tea, a signature product with high medicinal value, continues to be favored by consumers as a premium and meaningful Tet gift. Meanwhile, at Cai Rong Seafood Joint Stock Company in the Van Don Special Zone, production volumes over the past two months have increased by around 1.5 times compared to normal levels. For this year’s Lunar New Year, the company plans to introduce approximately 45,000 bottles of various fish sauce products to the market.

At present, Quang Ninh has 438 OCOP products rated three stars or higher. During this period of year, producers are actively preparing inventories to fulfill orders and serve the Tet market. To further expand development opportunities and expand distribution channels for OCOP products, the province organises OCOP fairs on an annual basis. The upcoming OCOP Spring Fair is scheduled to take place from February 6 to 11, 2026, at the Provincial Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center, featuring around 180 standard booths. Of these, approximately 100 booths will be dedicated to showcasing and introducing OCOP products and other signature items from enterprises and cooperatives across the province’s communes, wards and the special zone, alongside several units trading essential goods to meet Tet shopping demand.
