Quang Ninh’s Chairman meets Amata Group

On February 4, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Bui Van Khang held a courtesy meeting with Chief Executive Officer of Amata Vietnam Somhatai Panichewa regarding the Group’s investment plans in Quang Ninh in the coming period.

An overview of the reception

At the reception, Ms. Somhatai Panichewa expressed her appreciation for Quang Ninh’s support and cooperation throughout the implementation of investment projects and the realization of the Group’s production and business development initiatives in the province. Notably, the Song Khoai Industrial Park project, invested in by Amata Ha Long Urban Joint Stock Company, has achieved significant progress, attracting 22 secondary investors with a total registered investment capital of nearly USD 3 billion. With the aim of attracting more secondary investors to develop projects covering from 70 to 100 hectares, with total investment capital of around USD 1 billion in 2026, Ms. Somhatai Panichewa proposed that the province continue providing support in relevant procedures and implementation.

Speaking at the meeting, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Bui Van Khang emphasized that in recent years Quang Ninh has issued a number of preferential policies and reaffirmed its commitments to support and accompany investors, including strategic partners such as the Amata Group. On the basis of cooperation for mutual development, he suggested that the Group study opportunities to expand investment cooperation in economic zones and cooperation zones, including the Van Don Special Economic Zone, the Vietnam - China cross-border economic cooperation zone, the digital economy zone...
