Comrade Chen Gang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Regional People’s Congress, welcomed Comrade Quan Minh Cuong, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, to the talks.

At the meeting, Comrade Chen Gang emphasized that cooperation between the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Quang Ninh Province has achieved highly positive results. Notably, in 2025, the two sides signed cooperation agreements to pilot the development of the Mong Cai–Dongxing Smart Border Gate and the Mong Cai–Dongxing Cross-Border Economic Cooperation Zone. Cooperation in a wide range of other fields has also recorded remarkable outcomes.

Comrade Quan Minh Cuong noted that, in order to further leverage its strategic geographical advantages, Quang Ninh Province is focusing on preparations to launch a number of key strategic transport infrastructure projects in 2026. Major projects include the Bac Luan 3 Bridge, the Mong Cai–Dongxing Smart Border Gate, the Mong Cai–Ha Long high-speed railway, and the Hanoi–Hai Phong–Quang Ninh railway corridor. These projects are expected to help form an integrated transport infrastructure network, strengthening connectivity between Quang Ninh and Guangxi as well as with the most developed localities in northern Viet Nam.

On the same day, the Ninh delegation led by Comrade Quan Minh Cuong, Member of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation paid a working visit to the China–ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Application Cooperation Center in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. The center serves as a key platform for AI cooperation and innovation between China and ASEAN countries, underscoring Guangxi’s role as an important bridge in regional connectivity.

Comrade Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the working delegation visit the China–ASEAN Information Harbor Group.

During the visit, the delegation also worked with the China–ASEAN Information Harbor Group, a leading enterprise in the development of AI applications, data exchange platforms and digital solutions supporting cross-border e-commerce cooperation with Viet Nam.
