Welcoming the delegation, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Bui Van Khang emphasized that in recent years Quang Ninh has been among the leading localities in Viet Nam in terms of socio-economic development. Regarding the Russian market, along with efforts to increase tourist arrivals to the province, Quang Ninh hopes to attract businesses to study investment opportunities in international-standard tourism infrastructure and to consider opening air routes connecting to Van Don International Airport, thereby drawing more Russian visitors to Quang Ninh.

Representatives of the Ural Tourism Association highly appreciated Quang Ninh’s tourism infrastructure, accommodation facilities and the advantages for tourism development. Member enterprises of the association will study the possibility of promoting air connections between the Russian Federation and Van Don, while stepping up the promotion of Quang Ninh as a destination to major enterprises and corporations in Russia.

During the meeting, the Quang Ninh Tourism Association, the Ural Tourism Association of the Russian Federation, and the Khanh Hoa Tourism Association signed a memorandum of understanding on tourism development cooperation.
