Closing and award ceremony of the 17th National Radio Festival - Quang Ninh 2026

On the evening of April 13, the closing and award ceremony of the 17th National Radio Festival - Quang Ninh 2026 took place at the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center.

A cultural performance marks the sucess of the festival.

The festival, held from April 9 to 13, 2026, was jointly organised by the Voice of Vietnam and the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee under the theme “Broadcasting for a strong and prosperous Vietnam”. It served not only as a platform to honour outstanding works, but also as an important forum shaping the development of Vietnamese radio in the digital era. The event brought together 72 delegations with nearly 350 entries across various categories.

Notably, podcasting was introduced for the first time as an official competition category, marking an important milestone in the digital transformation of journalism, with the participation of nearly 100 entries.

At the closing ceremony, the organising committee awarded 24 gold, 37 silver, 71 bronze and 60 consolation prizes, along with 29 awards for outstanding individuals and production teams.

Also on the evening April 13, Quang Ninh Province held a closing and award ceremony for a photo and video clip contest themed “Quang Ninh - Aspiring to rise with the nation,” in celebration of the 17th National Radio Festival. The contest received 65 entries from 65 authors and author groups. A total of 17 prizes were awarded, including one first prize, five second prizes, five third prizes and six consolation prizes.

Earlier, a delegation of 500 reporters and editors attending the festival visited and explored the Yen Tu Complex of Historical Monuments and Scenic Landscapes. The activity contributed to promoting the image of Yen Tu to a wider audience, while highlighting its distinctive humanistic, historical and cultural values and raising public awareness and responsibility for preserving and promoting the heritage.

In addition, a delegation of 40 journalists and experts from major international media organisations took part in a study tour of the World Natural Heritage Site - Ha Long Bay. Promotional content on Ha Long Bay is expected to be published on reputable media platforms in countries such as Russia, Singapore, Australia, Hungary...
