In both cities, the delegation introduced Quang Ninh’s tourism offerings to more than 200 travel companies. The programme presented preferential policies and synchronised tourism infrastructure, while also highlighting the depth of the “One journey, two heritages” initiative. Promotional publications and materials were displayed, and meetings were held to strengthen connections with tourism businesses.

During the trip, the delegation paid a courtesy meeting with Mr. Hu Fan, Vice Chairman of the People’s Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The two sides agreed to further optimise procedures, facilitate travel companies, and enhance coordination in cross-border tours via the Mong Cai - Dongxing border gate.

Alongside promotional activities, the delegation surveyed a number of tourist sites and live performance models in China to support tourism management, product development and the building of cultural industries in Quang Ninh, contributing to efforts to attract more visitors in the coming period.

At a working session with the Guangxi Film Group, the two sides held initial discussions on cultural industries and live performances. The development of cultural tourism products with high intellectual and technological content is expected to provide new momentum for Quang Ninh, not only as a leisure destination but also as a regional centre for cultural industries.

In the first three months of 2026, Quang Ninh recorded more than 240,000 overnight visitors and hundreds of thousands of visitors crossings through Mong Cai - Dongxing International Border Gate. With proactive promotion efforts and a long-term vision for product development, the province is gradually realizing its target of welcoming 22 million tourist arrivals in 2026, including 5.2 million international arrivals.
